$DATAFIELD_datafieldkey$ -variable can be used to pass event-specific data to registrants in confirmation messages. This feature is useful, for example, in a situation where an organization has a lot of events. In this case, confirmation messages do not need to be customized for each event, but it is enough to keep the data fields up to date.
The feature works even if your organization has replaced the data fields with the "Event Categorization" feature.
In the practical example below, the trainer information is passed in a variable in the confirmation message.
Usage
- Set a value for the data field on the Event Details tab:

Note that the value of the data field must match the variable.
